Tuesday 1 January

A Damp start to 2013
Happy New Year to EVERYONE

Hogweed - Heracleum sphondylium my first flower for the New Year
It's been frosted and drowned but it has managed to flower that should tell us all we must carry on no matter what we challenges life throws at us
Our tree has looked a little bare but it has plenty of love on it's branches

Take Care

  1. What is that doing blooming in January? Isn't that the hogweed that can cause severe rashes?

  2. Giant Hogweed - Heracleum mantegzzianum is the the one that causes skin damage, we get it by the river, being alien we try to keep it under control.

The Hogweed is taking advantage of our very mild winter.
